The Living Kosmos Tarot

Welcome, dear seeker, to the collection of living symbols known as the tarot. The Living Kosmos Tarot is an invitation to explore the depths and vistas of consciousness. Utilizing cutting-edge AI imagery, overlaid upon the foundation of Hermetic Qabalah, this deck is both innovative and traditional, evocative and transformative. For centuries, the tarot has been used as a tool within Western spirituality to understand the mysteries of life and the kosmos, and this deck offers a bold next step for our generation.

The methods of the tarot are obscure. More accurately, they are occult, meaning occluded, covered-over, or esoteric. This path defies logic, expectation, and common sense. By all rational accounts, a deck of picture-cards should not speak directly to your deepest inner truth. And yet… The word Qabalah means ‘to receive’ and the wisdom of the tarot is mysteriously transmitted to those with the eyes to see and the ears to hear. A magical and bewildering process of illumination will unfold as you deepen your relationship with this deck.

What makes this deck unique

The Living Kosmos Tarot is an initiatory deck. Its explicit purpose is for use as a rite of passage into the Western Mystery tradition. The metaphysical foundations of this deck lie within the Hermetic Qabalah lineage that includes The Golden Dawn, the B.O.T.A. tarot, and Tarot of the Spirit, among others. Taking initiation through this deck awakens the myths and symbols of Western mysticism in your psyche. These archetypes then begin to work on you. Through this process, your experience of who you are and your place in the kosmos transforms.

The second important aspect of this deck is that it incorporates the frontiers of today’s spiritual technologies. In a living mystical tradition, it is the task of each generation to revitalize the lineage and contextualize the teachings for current times. The images for this deck were generated over the course of 2024 using a variety of artificial intelligence art generators together with digital photo editing software. These tools generate images based on the vast swath of the existing imagery and text that humanity has created to date. In-so-far as the archetypes live within our collective consciousness, AI represents a unique new tool to access and depict these universal symbols.

My inspiration

For the past five years, I have been facilitating initiatory courses on the Western Mysteries using my teacher, Pamela’s deck, Tarot of the Spirit. Eventually, I received the guidance that it was time for me to create my own deck, and so, I set out to make The Living Kosmos Tarot. My goal is to offer a transformational approach to tarot—one that guides the seeker through an intentional process of spiritual initiation. My work integrates a number of spiritual traditions, philosophies, and lineages into a coherent, holistic framework within a nondual spiritual path. Studying the tarot has been transformational in my life and the LK Tarot is another step in my path of service to bring culturally-adapted spiritual technologies into contemporary practice.
