I’m a therapist and spiritual practitioner and I found a lot in this book to inspire me further on my journey of becoming a more integrated human being. This is NOT a superficial “how-to” book … this writing feels like it comes from many years of study AND personal practice. Sturm really brings it ALL together, Eastern and Western psychology and wisdom traditions, to provide a very thorough map of the development of consciousness within a male psyche. You can go deep with this book and will find it super fascinating especially if you are at all interested in writing that integrates many disciplines and traditions.

I had the privilege a couple years ago of being a part of a 12 week men’s group while he was workshopping some of the material that would eventually end up in these pages. Some of the edges I had to confront and the growth I experienced while doing that work have continued to challenge me and have shown up in my relationships and in the way I navigate my life. Most of the dialogue out there around masculinity tends to be had on the extremes. This book aims to help men find balance, and I can say at least for me it has succeeded.
